Beach!
I wouldn't have imagined in a million years I'd spend the dead days between Xmas and New Year on a beach in the wind with my friends. Or walking up giant hills.
Cesc!
Cesc is our little bundle of food stealing, sleep disturbing joy. He's alwas exploring and is the most loving cat ever.
Septembers Indian Summer
Yes thats right, every image here was taken in September, on one late summers day.
Fire!
I am the god of hell f ire and I bring you:
Fire, I'll take you to burn.
Fire, I'll take you to learn.
I'll see you burn!
Tree Troubles
Note To World: Chopping down trees isn't easy. They end up on roofs and knock down fences.
Spurn Head
A day trip to Spurn - i saw some photos of Spurn here on Flickr, so off we went to explore.....
Ascent
The ascent of man, to the heavens, only to fall to the depths of hell.
A lot of stencil board! Covered up less than 14 days later with white wash.
Coloured Toss
Second attempt at camera tossing, with some fairy lights wrapped around various surfaces, various shutter speeds.
Toss. Tee hee hee/
Yellow Toss
After recent spouts of photgraphical boredom, I discovered the Camera Toss phenommenon. Obviously, with Toss being the single greatest word EVER INVENTED, i just had to have a go. These are my initial offerings. Including a camera-toss-catch-self-portrait or two.
Lux Project
LUX is a trail of after-dark artworks created by graduates and students of York St John University. The artists used performance, film, projection and more to animate and reveal the beautiful, hirstoric and sometimes under-appreciated street of Micklegate.
Flooded York Jan 2007
York flooded recently, meaning people wading to work etc, sleeping in wellies and thousands of photo oppurtunities.
Tunisia Xmas 2006
Family holiday, taken in Tunisia, North Africa, between Dec 24th and December 31st.
Lake District '06
Three days in the Lake District - autumn weather meant beautiful colours and clear skies.
Sightsonic
Part of the international Sightsonic festival, the Artists Platform is an exhibition of exciting new sound and visual works by emerging
digital artists from across the UK. Participating artists were selected
from a large number of submissions and represent the best in new
British talent, and that included Shelley!
These photographs are all unaltered long exposures of Shelleys installation.
Chris And Saritas Wedding 2006
The marriage of Chris Charteris and Sarita Ashby, September 2006.
I was an Usher! It was hot and sweaty and the reception was held at Bolebrook Castle, where somebody found the uncovered food store crawling with ants.
Quality band, and a lovely evening.
Summer Loving
The projection shown at Artfulness in August 2006 was a piece developed with members of the public using their individual thoughts, memories and word associations of summer collectively shown within the installation in a series of text based projections.

Skyburn
Got home late one night from work, the sky was dying - i dropped everything and grabbed the camera.
White Cube - RED
Installation from my Degree Show at York St John University. This piece was created using text and words from secretly recorded conversations and then projected into a blacked space. I encouraged people to wear white lab coats and interact with the piece.
Some images are long exposure.

Storm Chasing
When it rained we decided to go storm chasing, to photograph the storm "from above". But it didn't work out, we ended up miles from home, miles from anywhere in the rain. Still we stumbled upon this coach graveyard.
Whitby '06
All taken during our day out to Whitby, on perhaps one of the most beautiful days of the year for the sky. Such a violent sky led to a sunny, but ultimately windy day.
Tadcaster '06
All taken during a 30 minute period in and around Tadcaster, North Yorkshire, as the snow had melted and the sky was blue.
Polarising filter on all shits.
London April '06
We went for the Give It A Name festival and to meet Simon, and it was crazy all over.
Malham Cove '06
April 16th 2006 and we went to Malham Cove, the limestone rocks in the Yorkshire Dales. A cold day, but clear and beautiful.
White Cube - GREEN
This was my very first attempt at digital installation whilst at university.
The piece consisted of a multilayered text projection shown within a large darkened space over 103 seconds, on an endless loop. The projected text was taken from a series of ovehrheard conversations and comments

Tropical World '06
Our first day trip together, we went to Tropical World in Leeds. A brilliant day, and an amazing place for photography - cheap entry as well - reccomended.
Autumn Horror
Just inside the A64, just outside York - the fog was thick and moody, the light was creeping in. Perfect for photos!
London Streets '05
I went on a random trip, into the town - took a bottle of water, a packet of crisps and my camera. These are the results. - kieran.
York
Misc. Photos in and around York. Including...
Fulford:
The crazy little redneck backwater student filled army hosting dump hole called Fulford. Friday nights provide the wonder of semi conscious drunken reprobates vomitting all over themselves in some kind of sick happy clam fisted attempt at having a "good time". Saturdays are the same. Sundays are them same. In fact 7 days a week its the same. Beer cans litter the floor and the fish and chip shop's shit.
The Minster:
Its a big church
And other stuff.
Phone Photos
All of these photos taken on a Nokia 6230i mobile phone. Brilliant for lo-fi, spontaneous snapshots.
