Dad
A rare burst of artistic creativity:
I shaved my dads face the day before he died.
I had waited 23 years to earn his pride
and now that I’ve got it, i would trade it away,
to have him back for one more day.
To say “I’m sorry and lifes too short,
I regret every time we struggled and fought” -
but its enough to know deep in my heart,
that you loved me whatever - even apart.
